This photograph of Doonagore Castle was taken on a beautiful spring evening when the setting sun illuminated the landscape around Doolin in a golden evening light. To save time, I decided to use a fence post on the side of the road instead of my tripod. I was quite surprised by the Irish craftsmanship, because the post stood bolt upright, as the position sensor of my camera told me. So I was able to take photographs of the sunset in the middle of the peaceful landscape of West Clare – without a tripod.
