One of the most outstanding and probably most photographed lighthouses of Ireland is located on the Fanad Peninsula in northern County Donegal. Heaven was overcast and it looked like rain as I hit the road to photograph the Fanad Head Lighthouse early one morning last August. But I was lucky. Just as I set up my gear it got brighter and finally the sun dipped the Lighthouse into a golden morning light. What more can you ask for?
