Light very often determines how a scenery looks like. During my visit to the Gleninagh Valley in the heart of Connemara, light was rather scarce. It was a dull day as you experience it quite often in Ireland. Nevertheless, the view across the valley to Bencorrbeg caught my eye. When I look at the picture now, first of all it reminds me of the silence that covered the barren landscape. From the photographer’s point of view, it is always amazing how some moods can be expressed even with sparse light.
