Kilkenny

I was planning this shot of Kilkenny for some time. The view of the old houses on the banks of the River Nore and Kilkenny Castle in the background basically determined the ideal viewpoint and with it the best time to take the picture when the sun was illuminating the buildings. Difficult to determine, however, are the moods of the River Nore. It has to be almost windless for the buildings to be reflected in the water of the river. At the time the picture was taken, all these parameters were in place, much to my delight.
