Way through the ‘Happy Valley’
Imagine that you’re walking along this path…
This path leads through the “Happy Valley” on Garinish Island. Exotic shrubs, ferns and trees grow to both sides of the path – thanks to the Gulf Stream. On the western side of the “Happy Valley” some steps lead up to a Greek temple with a beautiful view over the bay to Hungry Hill. On the eastern side there is a Martello Tower from whose platform you also have great vistas of the Bantry Bay.
